I wanted to get people's opinions on whether anyone knows whether doing a study abroad program the fall semester of 3L year would have any negative impact on getting an offer from my summer associate firm. I talked to the HR person and an associate I know and they don't seem to think it would be looked down on or play any role in offer decisions. But everyone knows study abroad is mostly a chance to hang out for a semester, even if you are interested in what you are learning and ITE I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my chances at a full-time offer at the end of the summer.
Any thoughts, or more helpfully, experiences?
