Behave appropriately, dress properly, show up on-time, do thorough research, put a lot of thought and work into your opinions, interact with clerks and the Judge as much as possible.

Not much specific advice really since every program varies but those are some principles to keep in mind.

Read a few of your judge's opinions before the summer begins. Ask some of the judge's past externs/clerks for specific tips.
