0L's should abide by an "ask, don't tell" policy in this forum. 100% of 0L contributions are wrong and a waste of the internet. Questions, however, are much less offensive.betasteve wrote:To whatever extent that 0Ls need to be aware of specific employment circumstances, they can read the employment forum, and ask questions in the Discuss Your Law School, Law School Admissions, and Choosing a Law School thread.

As a 0L, I think that 0L's should have a 0L indication in their names so ppl know to ignore us

Re: 0L Employment Sub-Forum?
tbh there's a lot of 1L idiocy around here. like when 1L's comment on EIW/OCI. and probably 2L idiocy about how its actually like WORKING (not interviewing) at a firm. etc etc
we should just have freaking 0L/1L/2L/3L/3L+ etc badges next to our names. some of the very 1L's berating 0L's for talking are saying some stupid shit themselves

Maybe we should just have a blanket ban on posting.

I say all kinds of stupid shit, but I do it in the off-topic forum. I don't go into the "choosing a law school" forum and just start making up random facts to spread misinformation. If I did, it would ruin the usefulness of the forum, just like a bunch of know-nothings posting in this thread.underdawg wrote:tbh there's a lot of 1L idiocy around here. like when 1L's comment on EIW/OCI. and probably 2L idiocy about how its actually like WORKING (not interviewing) at a firm. etc etc

Unless you're going to confirm someone's status, then the badges are a complete waste of time. The people who would freely admit to being 0Ls are likely to be those who aren't (knowingly) dispensing bullshit.Renzo wrote:I say all kinds of stupid shit, but I do it in the off-topic forum. I don't believe that reporting class rank by itself would solve this problem. In the end, none of the information on this forum should supplant due diligence.
In pursuit of full disclosure, I must profess that I am a 0L. I'm also 30 years old, and do not believe myself to be one of these problematic 0Ls under consideration. Take that for what it's worth.
