It sure does. Unfortunately, job postings targeted at 1Ls are extremely sparse.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Yes, if you want to work for a small firm and have home town connections. Big firms with any plans of hiring already finished hiring. Some didn't even talk to 1Ls from T1s. Those that talked to 1Ls picked up T14 top x% people already.

There are some still hiring, but if they don't have your resume/transcript yet - No (for your purposes).

Re: Any Firms Out There Still Hiring 1Ls This Time of Year?
I got offered an interview at a Vault Top 100 firm last week, after applying just the week before. It showed up on Symplicity and I went for it.
I ended up declining the interview because the offer I was waiting for finally came through. But the offer was there, and I didn't apply until this month. The job posting wasn't even THERE until this month. So I think there are still a few firms still hiring 1Ls.

Just to clarify, was this a diversity fellowship/minority program or were they soliciting 1Ls regardless of race/ethnicity?
Thanks again!

You aren't going to see any specifics here. Any firm that hires 1Ls probably hires either a single 1L or maybe 2, and it's not like they unfurl banners soliciting applications. You need to pick up the phone, check symplicity at your school, or just send your application cold. Chances are if somebody on this forum knows of a firm that is 'still hiring 1Ls' it's about to hire that poster or somebody who has already applied.
