DC Superior Court v. Florida Circuit Court
I was offered a judicial internship at the DC Superior Court for the summer. I also have the option of studying abroad for a month and then working at a Florida Circuit Court. WHich would be better?

As a DC paralegal...DC Superior Court makes me want to punch myself in the face every single time I have to go there. Seriously, its awful.
I'd imagine this has absolutely nothing to do with the people you'd work with or the duties you'd do but...oh god I hate them. I hate them so much.

Where do you plan on practicing? Employers would prefer to see familiarity with the jurisdiction you will be working in.what would look better to employers in the long run

Not necessarily. But they do quite a bit of personal injury type stuff. Not too much prestige. But a clerkship there wouldn't hurt for someone looking to do PI work in DC. For a 1L just looking for a summer internship, it probably doesn't matter at all.
Isnt dc superior court like any city's traffic court. i.e. zero prestige at all

Both courts being considered are courts of general jurisdiction, and are essentially equivalent as far as subject matter is concerned.Anonymous User wrote:its not as high as district court but its not a low court
