umm i bet working for disney is not any more or less fun than working those issues in general. i'm confused as to why you think it must be fun to work for disney...

Um, I think you missed the "fun," in quotation marks...and the fact the OP might just be referring to employers that sounds a little funny/fun.
I'm a lawyer for Disney.
vs.
I'm a lawyer for Citibank.
The latter sounds like a lot more fun to me.

I'm curious too. What would be some fun jobs/volunteering positions you might know of? I've looked around and have no interest writing legal memos whatsoever.

There is a 1L internship with the Dallas Cowboys. I just learned about it today, but I will be applying by the end of the week.

I prolly shouldn't because I'm applying for it too, but I'll PM a link to you. Give me a sec.
Edit: Actually, the listing is on our law school's symplicity page. There doesn't seem to be a web address. I have to apply through the system. Sorry.

Re: Wats most fun 1L summer job?
We had a guy from the NFL speak at CU this week about the NFL's legal internship program. It's at the league headquarters in NY, and I guess they hire 4 clerks a summer. Sounded pretty sweet actually, particularly this year, because he suggested the clerks would be working on the new CBA.Anonymous User wrote:There is a 1L internship with the Dallas Cowboys. I would like to study abroad, but the cost (especially in Paris) is not something I would want to deal with.normalien wrote:yeslet/them/eat/cake wrote:I never thought about it from this angle...did you do this your 1L summer?normalien wrote:Studying in Paris for the Summer

If we had the option, was it easy enough to attempt two classes at once, both running about a month?let/them/eat/cake wrote:I never thought about it from this angle...did you do this your 1L summer?normalien wrote:Studying in Paris for the Summer

Re: Wats most fun 1L summer job?
For me working at Disney would be a nightmare. I despise children, families, and the marketed fun that Disney attempts to provide. Walking around Disney parks is rather depressing. You see people who have no money that have saved for years to take a very sad vacation that they otherwise could not afford.dood wrote:I applied to Disney legal internship cause they posted on my CDO website.

The most "fun" 1L summer job for me would be a firm job that pays $2,500 - $3,000 over the course of 10-12 weeks. I am more than happy to let money buy my happiness.
