Patent or corporate law salary and career

Post by jeremybates » Tue Dec 29, 2009 7:06 pm

I don't have a BS in a hard science but have the work experience necessary for "life experience" under the USPTO exam education req's. With an MA in International Relations would a corporate or IP position pay more and/or make me more competitive for law school teaching positions in the future?

If you want a career in IP, you'll be doing litigation. So really it comes down to whether you want to do corporate/IP litigation or transactional corporate work.

Neither would necessarily pay more or make you more competitive for teaching.
