No one here cares, we don't post on these boards anymore because we finished law school and these boards mean nothing to us. We come here for anonymous info about salary increases every few years when it becomes relevant.

In 2016, all the firms had their $180k bump memos ready. They probably wrote them in 2013 and were just waiting for the first (white) shoe to drop.

I genuinely believe a lot of partnerships hadn't even considered a COLA until Milbank came around. They have until late June to do the exact same match, taking effect the exact same day of July 1. So they're probably slowly going through the stages of grief in private, seriously considering the match, and in the end they lose very little by taking their sweet time.

The matches will come, just wait 2-3 weeks instead of 2-3 days.

OCI starts in a matter of weeks and students are working out bid-lists.

Clearly everyone in the industry is watching this closely. Movement will happen sooner not later

Although most of us are no richer, we've learned a lot the past few days. To recap:

1. New Yorker's love bodegas and accordingly deserve higher comp
2. Columbia = Yale
3. DPW = North Korea
3. Skadden < Debevoise
4. Texans can't grammar

Hope you're right, for the sake of my general happiness. But if I get paid an extra $833 in July, I ultimately won't care whether I found out on June 8 or June 28.

The finance people are gonna need at least a week to update the payroll systems. Those guys take forever to do anything.

This is the only thing worth reading thus far in the entire thread.

Careful, he's probably a very important and well-liked content curator over in kiddy land, with lots of power and responsibilities to enhance social welfare (but only for non-anonymous posters).

What are you so afraid of revealing by posting under your regular username? Don’t want other people to know you’re an incel?

That one’s clearly the dead one.

Seriously, if I was a partner reading this thread, and I guarantee some are/have, I'd actually be less inclined to vote for raises.

I legit did contact connections at STB yesterday to enquire about making a move if things don't pan out at my firm.

Or maybe they will gain a new appreciation for the effects of the Brain Drain on law school over the last 10 years, and in a desperate move to save the future of their profession will come OVER THE TOP to 230k so that future generations of lawyers won't be "total fucking morons."

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
