YES. You want to send a thank you email for a callback. Preferably within 24 hours of your interview.Anonymous User wrote:I guess you're referring to thank yous for screeners. what about callbacks where the conversations are generally a bit extended?stoopkid13 wrote:Not necessary. The above reply is totally off base. There is need to send thank yous even after callbacks.

Re: Columbia EIP 2016
Decisions re: hiring are usually made shortly after your callback or screener. To be honest, by the time you get home, draft the thank you, review it, have a friend review it, and then send it, the decision would already have been made.

Re: Columbia EIP 2016
No you do not need to send thank you emails for callbacks. It will literally make no difference if you send one or not. The only one I sent was in response to congratulations emails from interviewers at the firm where I accepted my SA offer. I know many other people who also didn't send any thank you emails after either screeners and CBs and still did just fine during EIP and CBs.Anonymous User wrote:YES. Probably similarly, only send a thank you if I get an offer and am considering a second look or accepting the offer. But it really doesn't matter and I think it's just personal preference. I guess for me it's more, thank you for inviting me back, than, thank you for interviewing me.Anonymous User wrote:I guess you're referring to thank yous for screeners. what about callbacks where the conversations are generally a bit extended?stoopkid13 wrote:Not necessary. Just got Goodwin NY (ES) callback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally got the first callback after a week of despair. She said she had called six people before calling me but no one picked up the phone. So stay close to your phone if you're not in an interview.
