Confirmation that unofficial transcript is fine. They handed out a pretty helpful sheet of logistical info, maybe it's online? Lunch will be provided every day between 12 and 2. Breakfast sponsored by the firms. Thank you notes not necessary after screeners. Petal wore a snakeskin blazer. I think that's all.
I also thought the back and forth (mildly awkward for a second) between two partners about whether to ask about firm issues was interesting. They seemed to eventually reach a consensus that asking about it wasn't a great idea during a screener.

Also, to the anon immediately above, here is a list of employers with hospitality suites: https://web.law.columbia.edu/sites/defa ... s_2014.pdf
I think room numbers of the suites are made available on the day.

Maybe it's just me - but isn't that a wildly inappropriate question for a screener?

That's certainly what I'd heard, which made it surprising to hear one of the panelists initially say he thought it was a fine idea, before another (formerly of Dewey) said not so much.

If we know that we will be stopping by a firm's Hospitality Suite (bid them and didn't get them, still interested), should we write a cover letter to include with resume/transcript/writing sample? Would that be overkill, or would that set you apart?

Why not? It seems like it can't hurt your chances.

Is there a place we have to check in when we get there tomorrow? Similarly, which floor is the student only area? I'm planning on getting there at least 30-60 minutes before my first interview, and I'd rather not spend that time wandering around aimlessly.

I wouldn't bother if the firm doesn't normally request a cover letter. You're approaching them, you're having conversations with people there, and you're telling recruiting you bid them, didn't get an interview, and still want one—that's showing your interest more than a cover letter would. Plus, I think they usually just look at a resume to determine if they want to interview you.

Of course, I'm wary of anything that gives a firm another way to ding me :P

The only way in to the hotel is by elevators to the main lobby floor from the street level. Main lobby will almost certainly have directions for you. But 6th floor is where you can chill, I think.

When we have interviews with two interviewers - I assume we hand both of them a copy of our resumes/transcripts/writing samples?

Vitally important question: what sort of swag is handed out at hospitality suites, and, somewhat more seriously, where do we put it during the day?

Nah just one of each.

Pens and highlighters up to water bottles and umbrellas. The main floor will have a coat check where you can keep a bag. I just didn't grab any thing that was too big to fit into my pockets, although you could always just go back up before you leave for the day for anything extra special.

Thanks Tiago.

On a different note, the thing on the handout from last night about interviewer's names being posted by 5pm Tuesday doesn't seem like it's true - I've had a few more posted today. Not a huge deal because there's a decent chance they won't actually be there, but for what it's worth.

Any chance of a link to CLS EIP results from last year (or the most recent year possible)?

Alternatively, would someone mind sharing the results on STB (NYC) and Cleary (DC)?

It's all on symplicity. I can't find the results thing we got at EIP Orientation last semester, but it's somewhere in there and I have digital copies I can email you if you PM me your email address.

To your question: Cleary DC - 40 interviews, 15 callbacks offered, 11 taken, 6 offers
STB - 200 interviews, 77 callbacks offered, 71 taken, 48 offers

Damn. STB was in the mid 80s as recently as 2011.

How quickly should we schedule CBs? And will all of them be in the form of the interviewer calling us and giving us a number to call to schedule?

Any Skadden movement? Anyone know when they usually do CBs (day 1 or day 2)?
