Finally got a Latham NY ding last night. Surprisingly, it was an email and not snail mail like I expected.

I know at this point I should probably be expecting a ding... but I'm really curious if anyone has heard about any movement from Baker Mckenzie NY or San Francisco? My friends and I haven't heard a word from them (no ding no cb) since EIW.

Has anybody had (or heard of) Gibson Dunn NY post-screener dings? I had what I thought was a really solid interview during EIW, but it's been radio silence for almost 3 weeks now.

Sometimes firms get busy and drop the ball on getting back to people. 3 weeks out, I'd go ahead and send an email or make a call to their recruiter asking what's up. They might have just gotten busy.

Re: Georgetown - EIW 2015
Turns out my upstairs neighbor has been hoarding some of my mail. He just dropped off a letter from Gibson that was dated two weeks ago. And with that, my EIW experience is finished.
EDIT: Since I'm done now, I'll do the survey thing.
Approximate class rank: Top 20-25% (GPA 3.5x)
Journal: ACLR
Moot Court, Beaudry, etc.: None
IP background: No
Significant work experience: Yes, a little over 2 years
Years out of undergrad: 2
Prestigious undergrad: No
Other relevant factors (e.g., URM, LBGT, age/prior life experience, military): None
Target markets: NYC, DC
Type of work sought: White Collar Litigation
Self-assessed interviewing ability: good
Screeners or callbacks prior to EIW from mass-mailing: None
Screeners received for EIW: 10 + 1 picked up through mass mail
Callbacks received from EIW screeners: 1
Offers received from EIW: 1 (NYC V30)
Thoughts: Despite having good grades, journal, a strong resume, and 3-4 interviews I thought went really well, I really underperformed at EIW and only got 1 callback (which fortunately turned into an offer). I think it was a combination of 1) bidding very aggressively (at least half of my EIW interviews were with firms where I was below their GPA median) and 2) not being as good of an interviewer as I thought. I also didn't get an EIW interview with a single DC firm, even though they made up about 40% of my bidlist. In retrospect, I should have ranked some of those firms a little lower when I bid and targeted more firms that were closer to my GPA range.

My OCI with Gibson Dunn also went really well, got a ding SUPER late in the game via snail mail. In retrospect maybe the interviewers were just personable.

Rarely post, hopefully a chance that my OCI story can be encouraging to a future 2L. Best of luck.
Approximate class rank: Below Median
Journal: Zero.
Moot Court, Beaudry, etc.: Zero.
IP background: Zero.
Significant work experience: Banking.
Years out of undergrad: 2.
Prestigious undergrad: Yes.
Other relevant factors (e.g., URM, LBGT, age/prior life experience, military): Zero.
Target markets: NY
Type of work sought: Transactional
Self-assessed interviewing ability: First-rate
Screeners or callbacks prior to EIW from mass-mailing: 2
Screeners received for EIW: 20 (16 screeners + 4 pickups)
Callbacks received from EIW screeners: 12
Offers received from EIW: 7 (cancelled several CB, cancelled several more prior to firm decision).
Reflections:
- Despite grades, I was able to find success.
- This was likely a result of 1) work experience, 2) combination of business background with ability to communicate interests in specific transactional practice, 3) 1L summer experience, and 4) my drive to network early and often. There's some decent info on this forum.. some of the commentary I quickly learned to be absolutely ridiculous, so take everything with a grain of salt.
- Many law students are timid/risk-averse.. if you are below median (even slightly) realize that you have pretty much lost your right to be (see #4 above)
- Bidding DC is almost certainly a poor decision.. even if you'd like to end up in DC post-graduation.
- Bid on firms with largest summer classes
- I was asked about journal zero times in 22 screeners. If you're not on Law Review/don't actually enjoy it, i wouldnt waste ur time
