I think I got my final ding (snail mail) around Halloween. Until then it was a steady drip of rejection.Anonymous User wrote:Do all firms eventually ding if they think we're garbage, or do some not care enough to notify us that we're awful?

If we had screeners w/ multiple offices of the same firm, does a ding from one also mean you've been dinged from the other offices as well? And if you get a CB from one, does that mean the others aren't dinging you (b/c you might split or transfer to the other office after the summer)?

should I be emailing places I haven't heard anything from (even though other people have gotten email dings) and re-expressing interest or something?

Re: Columbia EIP 2016
I'm not an expert at this process, but my answer would be a strong: NO! This screener process is mostly to make sure we are normal, mature, and can handle stress. Let the recruiting process run its course. I think such emails can only hurt you -- if you are "on hold" and then send an unsolicited email hurrying their process, it might tip the scales toward rejecting you.Anonymous User wrote:should I be emailing places I haven't heard anything from (even though other people have gotten email dings) and re-expressing interest or something?

Not necessarily true. I think it was Mayer Brown or someone who just...never got back to me.jbagelboy wrote:you'll get formally dinged eventually by every firm no matter how rancid and shitstained you are in their eyesAnonymous User wrote:Do all firms eventually ding if they think we're garbage, or do some not care enough to notify us that we're awful?
Although hilariously, that omission was balanced out when a firm proceeded to reject me, again, in December.

Interesting, thanks for the info. Thought they might take a while, but saw in the HLS thread those kids are getting them already (but maybe they don't scrutinize them as much)Anonymous User wrote:Interviewer told me they wouldn't release CBs for that office until Friday, maybe Monday or Tuesday.Anonymous User wrote:Anybody heard from Covington DC?
