V10 plus a few select other firms (P, W) are confirmed moving to 190 scale. The rest of the V20 through V42 will be moving to 175 to try to remain relevant. Beyond that, almost all other V100 firms will remain at 160 scale but may try to give "true-up" bonuses each year, depending on PPP.

This is almost certainly our powerpoint template, the locations match is dead on, and the New Partners Committee, I can confirm, is meeting all of this week. I'm inclined to think this presentation was made for their benefit as how many partners they mint this year is probably going to take a dip to account for making it rain firmwide. I've been a skeptic of NY to 190, but this has me pretty excited.

Yeah, the PowerPoint template is what doesn't make me immediately dismiss this as fake (also STB associate here). If it is fake, it was probably made by an STB associate or someone else associated with STB.

Otherwise, I have absolutely nothing of value to add here except that none of the associates I know had any clue of the bonus increase last year until it happened (and we'd actually been told earlier in 2014 not to expect us to be compensation leaders, so most people thought last year if bonuses did go up, STB wouldn't the firm to do it), so this happening out of the blue wouldn't be shocking.

I thought I'd ask the tiny partner about NY to 190k, but as soon as I did he split into two smaller partners! One hopped on my monitor and asked why I had sent a status update on doc review I had been doing, and the other asked me if I wanted to do a "quick 2-3 hour" research assignment. Whenever I'd try to answer the first partner or ask about NY to 190k he'd get angry and interrupt.
