PSA: it is extremely douchey to post about your job offer(s) on facebook. share it with your close friends, not all of your classmates.

How about you don't go around friending everyone you know? Because posting about it on Facebook is a hell of a lot easier than sending thirty or forty texts.

What kind of asshole is sending out 30-40 texts about getting an offer? Keep your mouth shut except to your family unless someone asks you.

Sorry you don't have the kind of good friends you like celebrating good news with, bro.

In all seriousness, this is a good way to alienate people you will probably be working with in the future. No matter how much they like you, people with a personal investment in getting the job that you just got do not want to hear about your success right now.

Can we all agree that posting about your job offer(s) on facebook at this point is a little douchey? Maybe later, when the majority of your classmates have either firm or government/PI offers, you can be publicly excited about working at X & Y LLP. But right now, everyone is on edge and, while most people will get jobs in the coming weeks, for the time being it's probably uncool to brag.

...I know this because I told a few of my friends about the offer I got, and they seem to be kinda annoyed at me for sharing while they're still waiting to hear from places.

Your friend is the rule not the exception. Supposedly you either meet the hiring partner at the end of the day and get an offer or meet recruiting and get a ding in the mail later

Has there been any news on any non-V20s? I feel like there's less discussion of the "lower ranked" firms. Is that because people don't care/aren't sharing or because those firms have slower timelines? Just a median student here wanting to hear some movement about more of the firms I am waiting on O:)

Perhaps the type of people who frequent TLS, or at least want to talk/brag about CBs and offers, are more of those "gotta have V10 or V20" types.

Seems like most of those have a less condensed CB/offer schedule. I'm waiting for CBs at a bunch of the firms you're describing, in the V30-V60 range, because they didn't have anything before September. I'm guessing that's because NYU has such a comparatively late OCI.
