Okay y'all, do we know how many alternates divisions select? Did I miss that in one of Deana's messages?

I assumed there was 1 alternate per offer slot, but now I'm wondering if there are more.

I was under the impression that some components had no alternates, and that it's up to their discretion. =/

Just got a Fed Programs offer at around 3:30! Thought for sure I was an alternate! Do not give up hope.

Received a call from CRT on Tuesday afternoon. Status did NOT update to finalist on 11/18. Only happened on 11/21. So not really clear to me where in the process they are.

To my knowledge, only one of my references has been checked, and it was late last week. With the holiday and so many people to vet, I wouldn't worry yet!

Keep in mind: The bulk of 14 day windows expires late this week, for offers given during the bulk of finalist notices. E.g., my offer deadline is thursday. And for law students, the window is 28 days.

I was told FedP is extending 9 offers, not 8, and that initial offers went out the 15-17ish. Since they only hire clerks, that means deadlines are this week, so perhaps alternates will receive calls in the next few days if offers are declined.

Since I know someone will ask, sorry, but not comfortable revealing the source of the # of offers

Got an offer this morning from Tax-Crim and just accepted. I'm assuming I was an alternate who got one of the positions declined by one of you fine folks according to the document tracker. So thanks for your persistence in updating the tracker and for giving me a spot haha! Best wishes to all waiting!

Perhaps this is already known on this thread, but I was told by someone I'm friendly with from ATR-Wash that they extended all their offers already. I would guess that what comes down now are for alternates.
