Remember that S&C does on the spot offers and has above a 90% callback rate. By no means should you go into the interviews drunk but you should be pretty confident you'll get an offer.

Fucking hell. I hate it when you just love a firm and think an interview goes so well and then everyone starts getting CB's from them and you're just sitting there seeing them all go by.

Whateva. Congrats to everyone getting the firms they want :)

I have a question along those lines: I see information in rate of interviews: callbacks on the OCI excel spreadsheet, but there any data available on the rate of callbacks: summer offers?

Thanks!

To clarify I hope you mean CB-->Offer rate, they CB nowhere close to 90% of people who screen.

To the question above, the Columbia info is the best you can do. It has been linked in here a few times.

NP some big firms are missing presumably because they don't come to Columbia's OCI. So I would take other offices' rates with a grain of salt.

oh, I see, this is Columbia's info! I wonder if that affects the rates even for the firms that are listed -- maybe some firms want more uchicago kids?

Firms might also perceive our commitment to certain regions/firms differently than CN bros. So who knows. Just go in confident no matter what.

Yeah, the CB->offer percentages are bound to be way different between Chicago and the New York-based schools since most people there are gunning for NY whereas here they offer a much higher percentage than accept.

No way. I know multiple 180+ without K&E CBs.

Grades aren't everything at K&E. with 84 people interviewing (and lots of people with bad grades self-selecting out) not everyone gets callbacks, even if they have great grades. I have three friends that had 180+LR who didn't get it.

I don't think K&E are done - not enough people reporting, not enough interviewer initials.

At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Ironic that you say that about the firm that literally puts its name on the super-grade scholars

Sure, but there hasn't been much reporting either. I'm not just talking bland 180s either; these are people with great WE and interviewing skills and CBs from places like Susman, Wachtell, Munger, etc.

Obviously this is no guarantee for a K&E CB, but with all the factors we are looking at now, I would be shocked if they are already done with CBs. It has been very quiet.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
