A black bowtie?! I thought I was the only person wearing a bowtie tonight. But no, it was not me, mine was not black.HellOnHeels wrote:I saw someone wearing a black suit white shirt black bowtie for tonights reception. Was it you?kyle010723 wrote:It's a reception, black-tie is implied imo.
You dont need to do anything, but I figure it wouldn't hurt.HellOnHeels wrote:So we just need to write thank you letters to our screening interviewers? I didn't think they were needed for screeners?
The Mayer Brown screener sucked, almost like they were just going through the motions.fishfry111 wrote:As for interviews, what's the general feeling? I'm glad I didn't get any nightmare creeners grilling me. Only one asked a "why their firm" questions, and I think I answred okay, but couldn't really differentiate...........after all, except for the Lit or Pros slant, one firm is as good as another. Any of you guys run into a roadblock?
I got a weird one that I'm pretty sure I didn't answer well. It was something like "can we answer any questions about how our firm compares to other firms in any areas?" I don't even remember what I said...man.fishfry111 wrote:As for interviews, what's the general feeling? I'm glad I didn't get any nightmare creeners grilling me. Most of mine were okay, but surprising. I ended up talking about ethnic food, world history, shit that makes you forget that it's an IP fair, and then, WHAM, they hit you with, "how does out firm fit in your plans for the next 10 years?" Otherwise, okay.Anonymous User wrote:I got a weird one that I'm pretty sure I didn't answer well. I think I might have gotten the "why our firm" variation in every interview.

If you guys were talking about nyc mb then you might be right. Last yeara i had a God awful interview with them, I literally mumbled for 20 seconds. They seemed totally uninterested. I wrote it off. Then I got a CB. I'm pretty sure it's a glorified resume drop.Anonymous User wrote:Seconding this.Anonymous User wrote:The Mayer Brown screener sucked, almost like they were just going through the motions.fishfry111 wrote:As for interviews, what's the general feeling?
