there was a BB Dallas offer this morning by phone at UT, I don't know the student's rank or GPA
Have you heard anything about Thompson & Knight offers going out yet?
Not sure about offers, but I know that they're still doing callbacks in Dallas through early next week

Wondering if you have scheduled your mofo CB yet?
Yes, I have. Nervous/excited for it.
Same anon as above. Received offer (SF/Diversity/HYSCCN/Top 25??%). Super happy and grateful.
Congrats!! How long was it from CB -> Offer?
Did you accept on the spot?

Are these callbacks from their interviews in Austin last week?

Thank you! A few hours? I didn't right away but thinking about it I can't think of any reason not to accept.

Not sure about all of them, but one that I know of was from a networking event

Do you guys have a system or a log for keeping track of all the places (and dates) that you've applied?

Sorry if it's been covered ITT already but if I have an offer I'm going to accept is it preferable to go on a scheduled interview this week or cancel? I would not take the position I'm interviewing for over the current offer.

Considerations:
Very interested in bidding this firm at OCI
Worried about canceling with only 24 hours notice
Don't want to waste people's time by interviewing for something that I won't accept
No travel expenses

You're supposed to cancel your interview. Other people deserve the slot.

With so little notice you should interview. Shortly thereafter you can contact them and withdraw. It doesn't look good to cancel within 24 hours. No one else will get that slot with so little notice; that isn't a concern here.

Agree with this. And don't let people guilt you about doing what's best for you when it comes to job searching.

Plus, you never know, you might decide you love it enough to go there 1L.

Anybody ever encounter a recruiter that is impossible to reach? I get a call in class for a callback on Friday. I call back right as I get out of class - voicemail. I call the following Monday morning - voicemail. I call that afternoon - voicemail. I call just now - voicemail. I'm trying to avoid leaving a 5 min long voicemail where I delineate my entire schedule and availability. Just gonna email her.

Pretty sure you crossed the line of socially/professionally acceptable behavior. If they log your calls and find out you called at least 4 times and emailed, that can't look good. Might be desperate even (and in an industry where you can get knocked in hiring for any trivial thing depending on the interviewer you get, it's important to walk the line, so to speak).

Just call once, leave a voicemail, and wait at least a week. I've been scheduling a meeting with a firm for just about a month now. Gave them my schedule, and they update me with on my progress every 6-8 days. Friday to Tuesday is nothing, especially for 1L hiring being so low on the totem pole according to TLS.

I was invited to a callback. Not answering the phone during reasonable business hours crosses the line of professionally acceptable behavior. I'm not harassing them for something; they invited me to come into their office so they can give up 3 hours of billable time (~$1000) to interview me.

Also didn't mention in the recruiter's voicemail, she told me to call her back on Monday or Tuesday. Pick up the phone.

You're telling me you're trying to schedule a callback interview with a firm, and they're updating you once a week? How long ago did you get the callback invite?

Don't wanna out ITT. Very high grades at T20. Diverse but not law-school-URM-diverse.

Not entirely sure how that's anon abuse when I'm just providing a personal example to help you feel better about the fact that you're (speaking generally to most 1Ls) not a firm's #1 priority, but if you're going to flip out and be neurotic about it then more power to you man.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
