There's a lot of repeats asking about the same firms and offices, so just a friendly reminder that the search function can help you see every mention of a specific firm in one fell swoop.
That being said, here are firms I/friends have had callbacks:
Cahill NY
Fried Frank NY and DC
Willkie NY and DC
Pillsbury NY
Simpson Thacher NY and DC
Milbank NY and DC (had a dinner last week for all of their callbacks)
Clifford Chance NY and London

Sorry for potentially dumb question, but is there a way to search individual threads (e.g. this one)? I'm only able to keyword search topic categories (e.g. "legal employment").

No worries. If you scroll to the top of the page while viewing this thread, you should see a bar directly under the "anonymous posting" orange bar that says "search this topic."Anonymous User wrote:Sorry for potentially dumb question, but is there a way to search individual threads (e.g. this one)? Not all dings/cb come at the same time. Sometimes it depends on the interviewer, so that's why people (including me) have asked if there's anymore progress on some of the firms. So thanks for being so smart.Anonymous User wrote:There's a lot of repeats asking about the same firms and offices, so just a friendly reminder that the search function can help you see every mention of a specific firm in one fell swoop.

No need to get aggressive. Just trying to help people out so they can find info faster, it's a lot of info to sift through and many may be new and unaware of the search functions (see poster above). And although with some firms it may depend on the interviewer, for many, CBs are already done and it doesn't really depend on the interviewer, especially after this week and beyond. But continue to post the same firms over and over again if you want

OP of list of firms here. Thought I'd list out that many firms (only 2 of which are my own CBs, by the way) because I saw some posts like that on last year's thread. Thought it'd be convenient, didn't mean to come off as a dick. Won't post stuff like that in the future.

Re: Georgetown - EIW 2015
What's the protocol for contacting firms we had screeners with but haven't heard from? Is it acceptable to send the recruiting contact an email or something?
ETA: never mind just saw the career office email about this. guess i should pay attention to those now.

I thought status quo was to keep radio silence, U571 style, until snail dings arrive

Re: Georgetown - EIW 2015
For most DC/NYC firms this is pretty much what's going on. There is some (slight hope) of a) firms doing rolling callbacks (that would most likely be secondary markets/smaller firms though), or b) being on a waitlist. But I haven't gotten anything but dings since Friday. 4 so far, half by mail, half by e-mail, 1 NYC and 3 DC.Anonymous User wrote:I thought status quo was to keep radio silence, U571 style, until snail dings arrive

Sorry, could someone reiterate what the Career Services email says about contacting firms after a screener? I don't think I got it...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
