I think at least 1-2 people have turned down Milbank offers as well that were made 2+ weeks ago.

Is it appropriate to follow up with the interviewer at this point via e-mail (since it's been more than 4 weeks) or is it still too early to bother them?

I mass mailed Bracewell and sent an application in on August 12, and I just got a callback.

Top 25-30%, no journal or moot court

i think its still a "screener" just so you know even though its at the firm.

Hmm. I'm meeting with more than one attorney for more than an hour. Is that how at-firm screeners go? (I'm honestly unsure, not trying to be a dick)

It went REALLY well, actually. They haven't hit me back though, so I'm not sure what the timeline is.[/quote]

I also had an interview with them in the same way as you and loved them! not sure what the deal is now for moving forward... whether it was considered a cb or a screener & if they liked us they call us back, ect?

edit- meant was wondering if the firm had mentioned how they consider a mass mail candidate

If you are sitting on an expiring offer, I would definitely send a letter of continued interest. If not, I'd wait 2 weeks (from the initial interview) before contacting recruiting again for a timeframe.
