Their Hiring Committee meets on Tuesdays, so if you had your CB and your interviewers submitted their feedback in time, you should hear Wed-Fri after the Committee meeting @ which you were brought up.

Is the ratio of screenings to CBs generally the same as the ratio of CBs to offers, for a given individual? I've had 57 screenings and 8 CBs, but no offers yet.

First off I have to ask how you have had time to do 57 screening interviews.

Second, I think that CB:offer ratio is much more firm specific than anything else. Some firms offer 25-30% (DPW) others go closer to 95% (W&C).

Also, snail ding from Sutherland DC. Kind of surprised as I have a GPA much higher than their max, have a huge interest in tax and am generally not an awful interviewer.

+1 regarding the 57 screenings. I mean, congrats, but how have you been able to schedule all of that?

I've also been dinged by firms with median GPAs much lower than mine but got callbacks with firms with median GPAs higher than mine. The GPA, while significant, is not AS cut and dry as career services made it out to be.

You are the only person I've ever heard suggest that W&C's CB's are a formality.

Most of them took place in connection with three large events I attended over two months, so scheduling was hard, but not impossible and the rest I picked up through very extensive mass mailing.

W&C callbacks are definitely not a formality, unfortunately... I suspect OP meant S&C?

Yeah yeah. Look I'm not getting into some internet forum pissing match. Walk up to career services and they keep some stats on the average CB:Offer ratios. Also, I'm sure you took a look at the average GPA spreadsheet, which is obviously information outside of your personal experience.

But getting back to the original point that I was responding to, I was saying that CB:offer has more to do with the firm than anything to do with a screening:callback ratio.
