LOL, at the bottom of my Cooley rejection letter it says:

"Cooley is one of FORTUNE's "100 Best Companies to Work For" in 2014."

Thanks
I'm from Dallas - I got the offer last week, 3 weeks exactly after my callback, which is precisely when they told me they'd be making a decision.

Same happened to me. I think some of these smaller markets want to grab summers before they look elsewhere. GL

They asked for mine, but that was at what essentially was a CB mid-December, before I had any law school grades.

Anyone know anything about the new Baker Hostetler office in Philly? Used to be an IP boutique. Or anyone know anything about the former firm? (Woodcock)

Anyone have anything to report from DC? Am still waiting to hear from a number of places and was curious whether anyone else had made headway there. Thanks.

Are you at a midwest based law school or coming from the coasts?

Also waiting on DC. Applied to about 30 and only heard response from maybe 7 or 8. But, who knows, they seem to be moving incredibly slow. Not to mention, I've already accepted a position with a government agency. Although, I'd rather have the paid SA.

Same. Interview with and rejection by hogan lovells. Interview with and rejection by Stewart & Stewart. Rejection by Hollingsworth, Cleary, and Cooley. Random request for a cover letter by Latham recently. I unintentionally half-assed most of these apps and interviews because one firm was faaaar and above my first choice so my heart just wasn't in it with the other firms. I've currently done more than a few rounds of interviews with my first choice (a V30) and am waiting for a final decision within the next two weeks.

Hope that helps someone.

Also, I don't think DC firms are moving slow so much as they are just not responding. Many of my rejections explicitly asked me to apply next year because this year's 1L SA positions are full, and have told me to reach out to them next year and remind them that I received an invitation to interview for next year. I think 1L SA positions in general are just exceedingly rare, especially in DC. Anyone else feel the same way?

1L SA's are exceedingly rare everywhere but Texas. Probably even more rare in DC than NY or LA though.
