For those with Callbacks, how are you asking for permission to miss class and/or have the class recorded? Are you just saying I have a CB, can you record the class? or are you not asking for a recording?

Send an email and apologize for not being able to be there and then just ask for a recording. 90% of the time they will have already gotten another request to record.Anonymous User wrote:For those with Callbacks, how are you asking for permission to miss class and/or have the class recorded? Re: Georgetown 2011 OCI Thread
Are you referring to emailing the professor and asking for the recording? I was under the impression you have to do that through the form on the website and request it from the IT people. It specifically states on the form that missing class for an interview is NOT a valid reason to receive a recording.PeanutHead wrote:Send an email and apologize for not being able to be there and then just ask for a recording. 90% of the time they will have already gotten another request to record.Anonymous User wrote:For those with Callbacks, how are you asking for permission to miss class and/or have the class recorded? Re: Georgetown 2011 OCI Thread
T4 Transfer: 1 CB, 7 dings, waiting on 3 firms. Only bid on DC though, had no interest in working in NYC and have little ties outside of the Midwest. I've been mass mailing like crazy in Chicago, DC Metro, and my home state markets. Home state markets have called back the day of emailing saying they do their hiring later because its a regional market but that they're very interested. Not worried about getting a job, just expected more than one callback in DC irrespective of a job offers.

Anyone hear back from DC firms yet? Or know how long most of them take to get back to you post CB?

I'm around the 45%, secondary, minor WE. Bunch of screening interviews at EIW and elsewhere. 8 CB; 1 V10, 3 V50, 1 V75, 3 NA. One ding from an NA CB today. How much should I read into the HR people telling me stats like CB ratios of 4/1-5/1 CBs per offer given? I have more screenings scheduled, but would prefer to save the travel/time if these CBs are likely to pan out.

A) With your stats, 8 CBs with a V10 means you're probably a great interviewer.Anonymous User wrote:I'm around the 45%, secondary, minor WE. B) You'd be absolutely insane to skip call-backs with firms that you would choose over food stamps so long as you don't have an offer in-hand.

top 1/3, journal. offer from a V 25 or V 30 firm, can't remember.
Cancelled 4 callbacks, am holding on to a few more. don't know if it's true that that will help classmates, but hope it does. good luck everyone.
