For which practice group? And did they give any indication of when you’d hear back?

A group small enough that I'm uncomfortable sharing. Was told that with the holidays it could be a couple of weeks for answer.

Question for 3Ls who have received callbacks and offers:
Did you already have an offer lined up? If so how did you explain the fact that you presumably had already committed to another firm?

Re: 2021 3L OCI
Yes, I did. Firms probably know that 3Ls interviewing in November or later have already accepted their summer return offers, which generally had deadlines of October 1st. Nobody brought it up in interviews, but there seemed to be an implied understanding. They only wanted to know why I wanted to switch (and I had compelling personal reasons, among others).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 10:16 pmQuestion for 3Ls who have received callbacks and offers:

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about the Ding. If you do not mind me asking was the Ding following a CB or screener or from a school's simplicity or resume drop? I have not heard anything yet from KE and am not sure if I should read the silence as ding/no consideration or still in contention.

I am in the same boat as you (have not heard anything after applying). I assumed that people asking being cbs meant that everyone (or at least some people had a screener already).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 2:04 pmI have not heard anything from Fenwick since the application (no screener or cb) so I guess I can answer no to your question. I'm assuming you did a screener, was it for the NY or California office?

Re: 2021 3L OCI
I didn't get a screener, but my experience for 3L big law recruiting has been a direct cb (no screener) if they like your materials. For the lower V-50 firm I was a SA at in 2020, I had a pre-OCI screener, cb and offer. For firms I've been recruiting as a 3L (Kirkland Chicago), I had a direct cb without a screener.

Sent in about a dozen 3L applications in early December. Haven't heard anything. Should I keep following up?
Any firms still *actively* taking applications?

Sorry to hear that. When did you apply? I applied a week after the posting was up and still haven’t heard anything. Wondering if I should be expecting a ding soon.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:26 pmDing, No CB for Fenwick.
