All the craziest onces are me. I was angry, and didn't exercise usual restrain bec of the anon feature. In hindsight, this discredited creditable information.

Anecdotally, I think my posts still have had a positive effect. The goal was never to harm Dechert, just to convince those likely to be laid off to gtfo. It's not uncommon to have a 100 hour month, but sometimes the work isn't coming.

There were lots of you suck speeches, and in all honesty the straight we're sorry speech is probably more humane. If you're lying to minimize the odds that they share the news, there are ways to do this other than ad hominem shaming.

What i can say is August will have many more layoffs, but many have already found new positions so hopefully it will be more like 20-30, not 60-70. The one concern is that because this already broke, there's no motive beyond good will to give associates more than a few weeks, if that.
