Even if you didn't land an interview, you can still do Table Talk - some people have landed gigs that way. Registration is open til the 9th: http://equaljusticeworks.org/law-school ... r/students

Um, what? You mean decisions to interview? I.e. Oct 1 is meaningless?Anonymous User wrote:Last year employers were still making decisions wayyyy beyond the deadline. Really sucks for those of us flying from the west coast (airfare/hotel reservations, etc.)

Re: Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair 2015
I only think that's worth it under very specific scenario similar to the below:Anonymous User wrote:is it worth it to fly across the country for table talk? seems a little cray . . .
1. You see a lot of employers you want to talk to that won't be in your area (6+)
2. You really think you can kill it trying to convince some one to hire you in a room full of loud people
3. You approach the event as a learning experience because you like the informational programs they offer
Otherwise, while there may be that small chance of the perfect conversation that leads to a job, it's almost certainly not worth the time/money. You're better off just networking in your area.

Does anyone have any insight into some effective strategies at table talk? I read the website saying to have a 30-second opener, etc - but I'm just wondering about some overall effective "hey I'm so great you should hire me" tactics.

EDIT: SOME employers did this. Clearly, not all..

Unless the other time slots have already been filled, you should be able to switch times. For one of my interviews, I changed the time around several times.pdwannabe wrote:does anyone know if its possible to switch your interview time? or is it locked in once you pick one?

If I applied for a (3L) interview with an employer, and haven't heard back yet or have been dinged, I can still apply through the employer's regular hiring process, right?

Not really. I remember a lot of places last year made their selections on the deadline. I think I applied to 6 places last year and 5 got back to me on the deadline, and 1 the day after.Um, what? You mean decisions to interview? I.e. Oct 1 is meaningless?

Ding Orleans PD. Really bummed, was one of my top choice, I think I will apply to them again regular application style. I have been having a bit of a change of heart about my long term plans lately anyways.
