I fail to see how you only have one wall in a shared office. You might have one fewer wall, but that's it at max, yeah?

I still don't understand the logic at all.

You are in there with another person. And people don't treat your office as an office because there are two of you. Trust me, it's not really an office when you share it. I lived with that an entire year. It is terrible.
