"yes"
"ok i have nothing now will let you know if i can get you a job"
how hard up for placements must they be to call people in case a job ever show up

Tbf Chi litigation seems like a brutal nut to crack right now.

I was being semi-facetious, but the answer is, as DELG said, literally anything that won't harm my long-term physical and mental health and tempt my wife to start slightly hating me.JohannDeMann wrote:And do what? 2L with a V5 SA and a Dist. Ct. clerkship lined up for after graduation. Is it really as bad as everyone says it is? In other words, am I already screwed if I want to litigate long term?

Re: Serious q re: Lit exit options
Recently looked at a local preftigious shitigation boutique's website and noticed all of the partners had similar career paths (excluding 2 who were judges for 30 years then retired to join the firm)
-mediocre to great pedigrees
-clerkships of varying degrees of prestige
-some form of public litigation-oriented position (DA, PD, county counsel, big fed gov't, etc.)
-back to long-term staff attorney at courts of varying degrees of prestige
-15 or so years later, join boutique firm's department that does only big, high-risk cases and appeals (that presumably make a lot of money)
This seems like the credited career path.

you're still eligible for DOJ honors and SEC honors if you clerk, and you can apply during your clerkship. in case you get cold feet.Anonymous User wrote:2L with a V5 SA and a Dist.
