I had a CB at the Boston office of Proskauer on the week of 8/18 and received a very prompt rejection by email. Haven't heard of any other results, whether offers or dings.

Also got an offer, but i interviewed more than a week ago. I doubt I'll accept - got kinda weird vibes from people in the office. Also feels like a small outpost.

I'm leaning towards Goodwin, but haven't made a definitive decision.

Thank you for the info, as an aside now I'm really curious if you did anything crazy during the interview to deserve such a prompt rejection?

Anybody else able to share insight on any of these firms?

I'm the anonymous recipient of the hella quick Proskauer ding. I'm no less curious as to who / how I offended. Nothing stands out.

My one and only thought: At some point, I left an empty Poland Spring bottle on the floor (or desk?) of a partner's office. Just a momentary lapse of awareness. Can't imagine that as grounds for swift rejection, but maybe?

I still haven't heard from Gunderson 2 weeks later but I'm not holding out hope - aren't they only hiring 2 summers?

Is anyone still waiting for news from Ropes & Gray? It's been 4 weeks since my CB and I haven't heard a peep, even after sending a LOCI.

Yup -- still waiting. I know of at least three classmates who are sitting on Ropes offers and mulling their options. I imagine there's a small-ish reserve pile that the firm might pull from if the yield is less than expected.

That's the most optimistic view. The more likely scenario is that we're both dings in waiting.

hey, can posters w/ dechert bos offers speak a little more about their decision to either accept or reject? how do you think the bos office fits in with the entire firm? i liked the people there but couldn't really get a sense
