Wait is this confirmed? That'll be so much cheaper than SF...
And they've stepped up the time frame to not be so much of a last ditch, post-OCI backup plan. Enjoy, kiddos.

Conference will be on the 6th, so that's all you need to shoot for being there for. I hope it works out.

So the conference is where the tables are set up and everything? And combing through this year's thread looks like our big NYC interviewing thing is right before this, or at least it was this year, so hopefully I'll be good.

Oh sorry, I meant to say career fair. The whole weekend is technically the conference, but the job fair with all the tables and speed-dating screeners is on one day.

Ah ok gotcha, thanks for the info.

So do you set up appointments or do you basically just walk to whatever table you want, wait for an open person, and talk to them for a few minutes and that counts as a screener?

Just for any future people on the fence about going to Lavender Law: DO IT.

So far, I haven't gotten a single CB out of my 15-20 EIW screeners (with just a few firms pending). But I just got my second callback from Lav Law (including one from a firm that initially didn't give me an interview). This literally saved me.

Haven't got a CB from the event. Now not sure if I should still mass email the firms that I have dropped resume at the Lavender law event, if so should I mention it in the email?

Short answer, yes. Frankly, this shouldn't even be in question mate.

Case in point: One of the callbacks I secured from my Lav law interviews came about as a direct result of me following up (via email) on my initial interview. Always, always, ALWAYS keep pressing until you got a firm no- and even then who's to say what can happen in the future.

FWIW I just got another Lavender Law callback on Thursday, so some firms might still be reviewing applications.

Has anyone successfully converted a 2014 Lav Law callback to an offer?

...hmm one "yes" to the original question but no further information provided. No further information increases the probability that there's not been any actual offers. IJS.

Um, no one is required to post revealing information to assuage whatever concerns you have about Lavender Law.

I personally know of two people that got offers from Lav Law. Both were secondary market offers.

Why are people riding Lav Law's dick so hard? Either go or don't go. At this point you know whether you believe it works or not.

To the above poster:

Your anecdotal contribution in Line 1 = good job, thanks for sharing.

Your emotional and vulgar outburst in Line 2 = [sigh] yet another assumption FAIL.

I, for one, would certainly like to hear more about any offers that have gone out because I haven't heard of any from attendees in this thread. NOT because I'm gauging Lav Law's efficacy, but because I recently had two Lav Law callbacks and I'm curious about any offers that have already gone out. Several of us are in this same boat.

The purpose of this forum is to share information. If you're going to be this sensitive about such purposeful queries, perhaps you should disengage from the thread so as to not have your sensibilities ruffled.

Yes, I realize that, I just get annoyed at the idea that because someone didn't want to share that info, they were somehow making stuff up. Generally people have better things to do than post fake info on this site.

Callback was about two weeks ago. Offer came about 48 hours after the callback. Firm is V20ish and in NYC.

Congratulations, mate. It must feel incredible :D

So that's one confirmed offer (thus far) from this year's event by a member of this thread. If there are any other lurking confirmed offers please feel invigorated and share the good news with us!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
