Re: 3L OCI
Does anyone have anecdotes about how fast/slow 3L hiring was in previous years? I was informally given a CB invitation by a hiring partner I interviewed with (basically said "when recruiting turns to 3L hiring, and assuming we're hiring 3Ls as we have done every year in the past, we'd like you to come in for an interview"), but its been a while since then.
Some on TLS have said 3L OCI moves very slowly so we should just be patient. But others on here already have offers. Does it just vary firm-to-firm?

Re: 3L OCI
I think it really does vary. I'm the guy with the STB offer but of the 25 or so mass mails I sent I have only heard back from three. And one firm I interviewed with at 3L OCI (Latham) still hasn't responded after more than a week.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone have anecdotes about how fast/slow 3L hiring was in previous years? Everything I found from previous years suggests that 3L hiring can go much later. SA's typically have until October 1 to accept an offer and firms may not know until mid-September whether their hiring needs will be met.

How long can we sit on current offers while waiting to hear from other firms?

What was their GPA req?
And I assume they filled it quickly...or else they realized they didn't have a slot and just rejected everyone? I have no idea.

I am really surprised at the silence from Chicago firms (except for Jenner). I thought at least some rejections or something would have gone out by now.
(Now that I say that I'll get a rejection).

How have you guys been hearing back from Jenner (snail vs e-mail)? I haven't heard a peep out of them yet.

Is 3L hiring (NYC) just slower this year? Like what's going on!

this may depend firm-to-firm, but is the CB/offer ratio higher for 3Ls?

Anyone else still mass mailing, or am I just completely (instead of almost completely) wasting my time at this point?

Talked to my school OCS and they told me to sit tight for now as firms are probably busy with 2Ls right now.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone else still mass mailing, or am I just completely (instead of almost completely) wasting my time at this point?
