Haven't heard anything from cadwalader one way or the other. What does that MEAN?

This is pure speculation on my part, but my guess is that Adam Lurie went back to his office with a list of "absolutely nots" and a list of "maybes." I was in the former group, so I got an immediate rejection email. You're in the latter group, so they'll make a final decision on you later.

Looks like Jones Day cancelled my interview for Monday. I interviewed with their NYC office and was dinged, so I'm guessing that counted for Chicago too. Nobody actually TOLD me about this ahead of time or I would have chosen to do the interview in Chicago. Also, I only found out it was cancelled by going in to look; it now says "preselect declined." Ugh. Well I'm glad I didn't just show up in their office.

The same thing happened to me. Screener with Jones Day in NYC. No callback. Now it says preselect declined in Chicago. Would also have preferred to interview in Chicago instead. Seems strange that we wouldn't get an e-mail or anything. Should we definitely assume this means they don't want to interview us anymore and discount the possibility (albeit an unlikely one) that it is some sort of system glitch or something? Does anyone still show a pending interview (preselect accepted) for Monday? Should we confirm that we are dropped with CSO or with Jones Day or just assume they really don't want to interview us?

Might not be a bad idea to confirm with CSO. That said, one of my classmates interviewed in another office and wanted a CB in NYC instead, and Jones Day told him that he didn't need to do the NYC screener because he had already received a callback for one office (I think he had to pick an office at which to do the callback). I'm glad not every firm does that because there are bunch of firms with which I have multiple screeners.
