Would like to know this too. Damn.
Sounds like there may be some more notifications coming out. From the email: "We are happy to be able to notify
most of our interview candidates ahead of our original schedule." (emphasis added)
That should mean some more good news for more people.

Going from last year's SLIP process, that would come next. Last year everything was screwed up because of the shut down, but I was asked first for supplemental documents (writing sample, resume, transcript) in October, and then later asked for a geographic preference list in November. This is all speculation though, since they may have two completely unique processes for SLIP and HP.

In past years, this doesn't happen until you get to the interview. Although my impression is that they used to include some ranking in the application, and this year they didn't? But you're not going to get asked for any additional information before the emails go out announcing which component is interviewing you.

Is anyone going to ask for an extension on accepting their firm offer while waiting to hear from DoJ? I'm concerned if I ask for an extension that I may demonstrate a lack of commitment or interest, and not get my practice area of choice. Thoughts?

If our status has not changed as of yet, does that mean we weren't selected for an interview, or are we really looking at potentially five days of waiting to know for certain (Sept. 30)?

It looks like there is some deadline of today/tomorrow for the HP components, based on the last post in the community tab. So I think more status changes might happen today/tomorrow/Monday.

May be a silly question, but did anyone else get a screening phone call? I'm guessing I was/am a borderline candidate.

This oddly makes me more nervous because I'm as borderline as it gets and didn't get screener, lol.

No screener call here, either. If you don't mind, what kind of questions did they ask?

This is a dumb question, but how do you get to the last post in the community tab? I click on the Community section, and there's nothing referencing the Honors Program. In the Legal section the last post is by J. Williams Thu Aug 28, 2014 10:12 PM.

I think the issue is that you're signing into the main avue site, rather than the HP/SLIP specific site. If you sign into the DOJ HP/SLIP specific avue site, there will be a tab labeled "Community." The only community in there will be "Law Students and Graduates." Last post was Deana Willis, from OARM.

Haven't heard from any specific components yet, just got the general selected email. Mind disclosing which component already sent out notices?

ATR NY Field Office. Expecting to hear from DC ATR. NY called to schedule an interview. Said all of the components/offices do things independently and that I can expect to hear from others still. Offered to wait to schedule the interview, so I could do DC and NYC on back to back days. I have to travel pretty far. I'm not sure if he said that because he knew others would be contacting soon or if just expected them to.

If we were not selected for an interview, will it simply say "not selected" or equivalent?

Congratulations! Does anyone know of any other specific components/offices (besides ATR NY) that started sending out interview notifications yet? Ugh, the suspense.

Yes.
Does anyone know if there are interviews in DC or is it just at headquarters?

1) in past years at least, the ATR field office have followed a different timeline from the other components (I think they arranged their own interviews whereas the other components all use the central recruiting people, but could be wrong on this part).
2) interviews are in DC for the DC-based components. The ATR field offices seem to do their own interviewing on location. The interviews for EOIR clerkships are in a number of cities (including DC), depending on your location (eg if you're in California/Washington/Nevada you'd interview in SF, if you're in NYC you'd interview there. But I don't remember where exactly and it probably changes from year to year). Interviews for the USAOs are at the USAO in question.
