So much sadness =( looks like I'll have to bid and hope I don't double bid...ls23 wrote:bananasplit19 wrote:DID YOU KNOW?
Last year, CCBA released bid results on a Saturday morning (five days after their projected release date).
I hate that you've given me such false hope.

Not bad overall, but I'm a little upset that some of the firms I thought I was a good candidate for said no.

Re: CCBA Job Fair (2014)
For those of you that already bid for your school OCI: Are you going to cancel if you happen to get a interview from a firm at OCI that you interviewed with at CCBA? Risk it and just interview? Withdraw from CCBA spot? Withdraw from OCI spot?

So if you get a few of your top choices ...is it most likely because of the lottery? Dont get it .

I mean if its the same firm and office, I would put your chances at getting both a diversity fair and oci interview at 1% (they know they're already interviewing you at one of them, it's the same people). In case that does happen, I don't see the advantage of declining a second interview unless it would open up a spot for something else.

Re: CCBA Job Fair (2014)
I think the train of thought is pre-selects can be anywhere in the range but lotteries will be toward the top. Therefore, a lottery pick is more likely to be a number closer to 1 than 25. Doesn't mean a high bid can't be a pre-select, just that we can't really identify it as such. A high bid is just more likely to be a lottery than a low bid.Anonymous User wrote:So if you get a few of your top choices ...is it most likely because of the lottery? Dont get it .

Do we know if there's a limit to how many you could get through the lottery? I got 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 14, 18, and 20. Trying to figure out which ones are pre-select and which ones are lottery. Happy either way, just would be nice to have as many as possible be pre-select.shadowofjazz wrote:I think the train of thought is pre-selects can be anywhere in the range but lotteries will be toward the top. No way of figuring out which ones are which, to the best of my knowledge. Just prep for all eight of 'em at 100% like they're all pre-selectAnonymous User wrote:Do we know if there's a limit to how many you could get through the lottery? I guess I can't complain about the number of interviews I'm getting, but am a little disappointed that I only got one of my top ten choice. I guess my career adviser was right to tell me that unless you have a 4.0 or are an extreme URM (e.g. like an Eskimo-no pun intended), the CCBA results wouldn't be anything spectacular.

Has anyone been able to find the "cancel interview" button?

Re: CCBA Job Fair (2014)
Any ideas on how this is going to work:
Also, there are no cancel interview buttons. All interviews that have been awarded to date are currently displayed. If you see the message for "no records found," then you currently do not have any interviews. Opportunities to add additional interviews will commence Thursday July 15, 2010 and are ongoing until Monday, July 19, 2010.

Re: CCBA Job Fair (2014)
Aside from the time travel, anyone know how this has worked in the past (3Ls?)? Curious since I received only a few interviews and this sounds sort of like supplemental interview requests/additions.bananasplit19 wrote:Simple:Anonymous User wrote:Any ideas on how this is going to work:Also, there are no cancel interview buttons. All interviews that have been awarded to date are currently displayed. If you go to "scheduled interviews" under the oci tab, there is the cancel interview button.
