Rising 3L suggested that it could be smart to cancel/accept double interview invitations depending on which other schools are in the pool with you...Credible? I think Midwest-CALI is like us, USC, UCLA, someone else...and SEMW is Vandy/Tulane/Us right?

That's way over-thinking it. If they like you, it won't matter from what school.cusenation wrote:Rising 3L suggested that it could be smart to cancel/accept double interview invitations depending on which other schools are in the pool with you...Credible? With one caveat. The interviewers tended to like the kids from the schools they interviewed. The sullcrom interviewer was a Vandy grad and qualified WUSTL kids didn't get callbacks at all.cusenation wrote:werddd okay good to knowgoldeneye wrote:That's way over-thinking it. when do the screener pre-selects typically come out? Just wondering how much time we have to buy flights and make hotel arrangements for the off-campus days

It's also listed on each Symplicity. "Pre-select sign up" or something like that. I think they start coming out somewhere around the 14th.

Should I bid on everything just because I can, or is it not worth trying for smaller and insular markets like Indy, OH markets, etc?

bid on everything you can unless you absolutely under no circumstances would not live in that city. It's far better to have an interview to /worklive in a city you don't want to be than not have any options.

When can we expect to see where we have interviews with for EIW? Is it on a rolling basis or all at one time?

Damn, I was thinking the 14th for some reason. Most will go up the morning of the 21st, with more trickling in throughout the day. Some firms will inevitably get their picks in late, though. Plus, if you get alternates those might convert at any time up until the day of the interview.cusenation wrote:July 21 according to the timeline CSO gave usAnonymous User wrote:When can we expect to see where we have interviews with for EIW? Yep, all preselect. No ranking at all.sublime wrote:Are these off campus ones all pre-select?
Nvm, it looks like you don't even rank firms for SEMW, at least.

Will OCI 1 and OCI 2 have more firms participating than is listed now? We're pretty pathetic at getting firms to come to interview us - granted the semw NYC is pretty solid.

Re: WUSTL OCI/EIW 2014
EIW is oci. After that the pickings will be quite slim (predominantly resume collects and local mid size firms).
ETA: If you haven't started mass-mailing now is good time to start. Do not wait to see how OCI goes, no matter how good your credentials are.

Hey all. Not WUSTL, but I'm in one of the other schools from SEMW and didn't know where else to post. I applied to the 2 DAs in NY and have a big fat "pending" which is freaking me out. Anyone hear anything?

Generally pending means they employer's selections are not yet in. If you don't get it, it should say "not selected.". Incidentally, someone should start an SEMW and a Midwest-Cali thread.

Same here, but for the two mid-sized firms. I wouldn't worry about it yet.Anonymous User wrote:Hey all. Not WUSTL, but I'm in one of the other schools from SEMW and didn't know where else to post. EDIT: Looks like those have been removed, as they both now say "applied" and the sign-up date changed ot the 16th.

Was hoping Texas might come out today, but it looks like it won't.

Any idea on when Texas and Boston come out? The full EIW is supposedly coming out next Monday, right?
Hopefully this one turns out better than SEMW/Midwest-Cali

Boston is supposed to be out Monday. Tough to say for Texas given that it was supposed to be in on the fourteenth (according to "important dates") and they added another session for Kirkland Houston.Anonymous User wrote:Any idea on when Texas and Boston come out?
