How did you get the screeners?
Applied to them before the summer associate program ended, and gave me a callback right off the bat without doing a screener first.
Smart...

HYS, offer from my V20 firm but trying to change cities. Just got 2 CBs (one in-house and one V10) from OCI. I've been mass mailing and networking like crazy and had a few nibbles but these two are my first CBs. Changing location seems like an easier sale than most things, at least if you have a compelling reason for the change.

I'm also trying to change cities (from NY), and I don't understand what mass mailing like crazy means. No city other than NY has more than 10 firms to mass mail. Are you trying to switch to NY? Are you mailing mid and small law firms? Firms well outside the V20?

Sorry you're not getting it. I have a few places I'd be comfortable with living and I have ties to. I don't really care about V10 or whatever because those rankings are NYC corporate centric. I applied to everything from V10s to boutiques. I sent out like 80 emails. Maybe mass mailing like crazy was too strong a word, but it seemed like a lot to me.

Oh, OK. Sorry, didn't mean to sound confrontational.

Lower t-14, offers had not yet been extended by my firm when I was notified of cb (told that they are focusing on 2Ls right now and will bring me in early september), though I do have one now.
Also because its relevant, I was told this in response to me following up to the mass mail.

I posted the above. I haven't heard anything from either firm and it'll be around a week on mon & tues, so I'm not feeling that great about it. I remember last year most of my offers came around 3-5 days after the interview, and I'm wondering if I should be concerned about this. I'm not sure if 3L hiring is any different. I felt really good about my STB interview, and not so great about DPW (so I don't expect anything from DPW).

Managed to snag 3 OCI interviews from people who dropped due to offers. Are 3L OCI interviews any different than 2L? I'm in the (un)fortunate position of not knowing about an offer from the summer firm, and probably won't know until spring due to their size and uncertain work load.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
