700 students?! Who knew there were that many URM willing to travel to Chicago. Does that number sound incredibly high to anyone else?
These glitches are frustrating as fuck, btw.

Why everyone so anonymous (as I go anon, hah!). Got an interview with Bartlit Beck. Wondering if I should even waste a plane ticket to go out there. Will I even have a chance? It seems so selective. (I honestly don't even know how I got this interview).

Are you a 3L? They weren't even on the bid list for 2Ls... unless I missed something?Anonymous User wrote:Why everyone so anonymous (as I go anon, hah!). Got an interview with Bartlit Beck. What're people seeing in terms of interviews numbers? I got 4. Big firms, including my number 1. But honestly was expecting more.

I got 3, but I already scheduled an interview with one of them. Kinda expecting more too, but I take what I can get. No Chicago firms for me though.

Yeah. Same here. K&L has tried to schedule 4 interviews with me at 4 different fairs now. At first it was cute but now it's like harassment. I guess it's my fault for bidding on them.Anonymous User wrote:I got 3, but I already scheduled an interview with one of them. Kinda expecting more too, but I take what I can get. A snowball's chance in hell at Bartlit is a lot more than most people get. I'd go. They tend to hire mostly post clerkship but historical trends are always subject to change. Good luck if you decide to go!Anonymous User wrote:Yeah, I'm a 3L.Anonymous User wrote:Are you a 3L? Yay! I got 6. Unfortunately, only 1 of them is actually in Chicago, the others are in secondary Midwest markets where I have ties. That's nice, but I always dreamed of living in Chicago one day. Anyway, still excited about going, and not sure how to arrange/if I can get supplemental interviews.

I just got the SEC. Does anyone know if these are legit interviews (as in not informational)? The JAG came to my school and interviewed folks last year for informational purposes. It was really frustrating. Also, is the SEC really strict in their hiring criteria as far as Top 1/3 of the class? They pre-selected me based on the strength of my resume, not my transcript so I'm just trying to figure if it's worth my time, energy and money to head to Chicago for that interview. I'd love to hear what you all have to say.

3L...got 1 interview...but it says on the selection criteria 2L=95%/3L=5%, does that mean that only 5% of their interview spots are for 3Ls or that 5% of the firm's hiring is dedicated to 3L's? thanks!

+1. I got the SEC and Bartlit. I would kill for either of them. I am also sure I got them based off my resume, not my transcript. Is either seriously considering people like me for permanent slots?Anonymous User wrote:I just got the SEC. Does anyone know if these are legit interviews (as in not informational)? 2L, median at lower t14. Got 4 interviews, all chicago, though some are recruiting for a few offices.
I rolled my eyes this morning when I saw 5 emails from this job fair. What a shitshow this has been.

Got 5, mix of chicago (not enough ties) and those interviewing at multiple offices (where I'll target NY/DC in that order).
Not terrible, but I am wondering if it's worth re-arranging my school's OCI bidlist if I have repeats?

I was thinking the same thing. I would call all the government interviewers and ask if they're actually hiring full-time and not doing information interviews or just offering internships.Anonymous User wrote:+1. is there an option to "accept preselect" for you guys? If you didn't get an interview, does it say "not invited?" my screen just doesn't say anything, so I'm just checking if that means I didn't get any interviews.

Do you have to accept? I thought it was automatic?Anonymous User wrote:is there an option to "accept preselect" for you guys? If you didn't get an interview, does it say "not invited?" my screen just doesn't say anything, so I'm just checking if that means I didn't get any interviews.

Is it all pre-selects or a mix of pre-selects and lottery? I can't figure that out.
