I don't understand this dumb trend of separation T14 from non-T14. It should really be ordered by quantity of students from each school.

Re: 2012 Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
Exactly. Maybe some firms are drowning in business right now, but it seems like a huge gamble to bring in a summer class at or above pre-ITE levels (looking at you DPW). Even a minor event could derail the "recovery" any time between now and Q4 2013 when these kids start. Of course, the students bear all of the risk in this scenario so maybe they don't care.c3pO4 wrote:What goes up...Anonymous User wrote:At their cocktail event for rising 2Ls this past summer, I think they said they were aiming for a class of 19 in Boston, so business must have ticked up considerable and recently.Blindmelon wrote:Wow thats a huge class-size increase for GP. They did give a lot of 3L OCI interviews, so I guess business is booming.

I'm not surprised -- and you can't really take accepted offers as evidence of outplacing.LawIdiot86 wrote:Northwestern and Cornell outperform Stanford and Chicago? Moderately surprised.Anonymous User wrote:Cravath

Same is true for STB and DPW, though, despite similar class size. Could be because those schools place better in DC, but as far as NYC goes, it seems to be true.5ky wrote:I'm not surprised -- and you can't really take accepted offers as evidence of outplacing.LawIdiot86 wrote:Northwestern and Cornell outperform Stanford and Chicago? Small class sizes for Stanford and UChicago + self-selection out of NY make those kind of comparisons a fool's errand.

Astoundingly unprestigious, especially considering cahill's giant bonuses. I guess people stlll want to be paid in prestige points.Anonymous User wrote:Cahill (41)

Cahill, based upon reputation and the contemptuous way they treated people at my school's OCI, is also full of assholes and likely a poor place to work.Anonymous User wrote: Astoundingly unprestigious, especially considering cahill's giant bonuses. Yeah, my interviewer was almost 20 minutes late, which jeopardized another interview I had set up at the end of the day. Total prick.

I'm shocked at the lack of T2 schools. I thought people who were top 5% at T2s had a good chance for biglaw ny or other v100.

Does anybody have Wachtell yet? I know that quite a few people from my school are going, and I'd be interested in seeing the breakdown.

Why do you guys even care what the distributions are? If you have a SA position, then its already done. If your a 1L looking at prospective firms, you could find your schools distribution from OCS. If your a 0L, get into law school first!

I've obviously made a huge mistake. Judging from this chart it should be Osgoode or bust.
