Anyone know how many summers they are taking? How long (weeks) is the summer program this year?

Got dinged earlier this week by them after a CB about 3 weeks ago. Thought it went well, but I guess they can't make offers to everyone. Shame, since the environment and atmosphere seemed great. But oh well.

Bump. Any chance anyone who went on CBs last year remembers who they met with last year? I know it's a long shot, but figured I would give it a shot.
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

When I had mine, they didn't give us a list ahead of time of the people with whom we'd be meeting -- it made for an interesting (re: different) experience, with more time spent to figuring out what the person did.Anonymous User wrote:Bump. It was also unusual in that reception dumped you in a sort of holding room while you waited. There was a nice view overlooking central park. Then, after the standard 4 interviews, they dumped me back in the holding room, which I did not expect. I waited there about 10-15 minutes, and then they came and got me for a meeting with one of the hiring partners, which was not on the schedule they gave me when I arrived. That went fine, and maybe 3-4 days later I got an offer. My morning CB didn't include lunch, which I thought was odd.
I don't think everybody ends up meeting with a hiring partner at the end, although some/many do. I don't believe it is dispositive as to whether or not you will get an offer, so don't dispair if they send you on your way without the meeting -- sometimes the schedules just don't work out. But at least you'll be prepared for it, unlike me (I just thought they had put me in the holding room until the recruiter could come walk me out, I was not expecting to meet with a hiring partner).
I also got one of the odder questions there that I had faced. A partner asked me "What from your resume most defines who you are as a person?" I had already mostly decided on a different firm at that point, so I wasn't too concerned with my lack of an answer. I hemmed and hawed with complete silence for 10-15 seconds trying to think of an answer, remarked "that's a good question," and then threw something out there. Kind of weird, but certainly not unfair or anything. Unlike some firms.

I interviewed this week and loved the people, office, etc. I haven't heard back yet, and I wouldn't worry if you don't hear back right away--it's getting into Labor Day weekend, after all. I think a lot of people are on vacation. I know, boy do I know, how hard it is to wait!!

Yea it was amazing. Especially that view. It's so hard waiting when you hear of people getting next day offers from them, and them you hear people getting one weeks later. I guess it just takes time.

I got an offer call but haven't yet received anything via email/snail mail. For those who did, and are in schools outside of NY, did the letter invite you for a follow-up visit to the firm?

Re: Willkie NYC
It took a while (read: a bit over a week) for the letter confirming the offer to arrive and I am in NY.
To the poaster above: it didn't specify whether return visits were possible.

Re: Willkie NYC
Thanks! Not a Willkie specific question, but I have offers from other firms, which have definitely told me I can do a second visit. Will they split the costs like they did for callbacks?Anonymous User wrote:It took a while (read: a bit over a week) for the letter confirming the offer to arrive and I am in NY.
