OMM - Ding 2 weeks post CB
Paul Hastings - Offer on next work day (spanning weekend)
Latham - Offer on third day
Gibson - Offer over dinner
Irell - Pending, four business days

I think labor day weekend and vacations slow things down, so I don't think people should be worried if the timeline is slower right around now. Right now it's down to Gibson and Irell for me, but if MTO offers it'll come down to Irell and MTO, I think. When's the earliest people have heard from MTO? I think I saw a week earlier in a thread somewhere?

CB -> offer from, in order, Quinn SF (day of cb), OMM SF (week after CB), Irell OC (week after CB). Waiting to hear from Kirkland, MoFo, Gibson all SF.

I'm leaning towards Quinn. Liked the people, like the Bay. I'm sort of thinking of asking Irell if I could apply to their LA office, because I realize now I'd prefer LA to OC (didn't know much about SoCal at the time). Thoughts on this?

Yeah I'd definitely go Munger. And I think the consensus is that splitting is risky ITE.

I am leaning towards STB (LA). I want to do corporate work and want a name brand that will give me the most national mobility when/if I get booted out. Are there major downsides to one of these major NY firms with an LA office? Should I be more serious about Gibson or OMM? Thoughts?

This makes no sense. Partnership prospects are pretty much a wash, and if IP Lit is what you want to do, why is Latham LA your dream firm over LA firms with actual IP lit practices (Irell and Quinn)?

Haven't heard back yet from Irell, but I did not like the vibe of the place on CB. Quinn was a ding for me. I guess I meant to say "dream firm in the sense that I haven't been dinged, and therefore the dream is still (hopefully) attainable."
