Interviewers had a couple of discretionary invites, which are for high-priority recruits. It's supposed to make you feel special. And yes, it means you have a callback unless you stuffed food down your pants last night.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know the deal with the significance of the Quinn dinner? I heard SF folks from the dinner were emailed tonight if they got CBs.

I heard from one guy that he did some shots with the name partner. All dinner invites are CBs, and I heard (third-hand, but he was talking to everyone) that the dinner was strictly grades (3.6+).

If that were true, I would've had a dinner invite.big_blue79 wrote:I heard (third-hand, but he was talking to everyone) that the dinner was strictly grades (3.6+).

Yeah, I know some 3.6+s who interviewed and didn't get dinner invite, so I'm not sure that's legit.
When people talk about Jones Day, are they only referencing NY?
Finally, got a Simpson email this morning, but no call like some others? Read into this at all?

I got a call yesterday but no email from Simpson. I'm guessing one interviewer (or a few) is really busy and couldn't do calls, so you got an email instead.Anonymous User wrote:

14 interviews over the last 2 days, so far no callbacks. 3.7+ GPA, so I know that's not the problem. I'm not the best interviewer but I don't think any of the interviews have gone horribly. What am I doing wrong?

Too soon to freak out. Really. You could just have had a string of interviewers who are a little slower getting back to people. Also, were they all NYC interviews? Other cities have not really begun calling, it seems. If you're that worried, think about giving OCS a call this afternoon. They have seemed pretty candid with advice about this stuff in my experience.Anonymous User wrote:14 interviews over the last 2 days, so far no callbacks. 3.7+ GPA, so I know that's not the problem. Some were DC, and I know they take longer. But I have not heard back from any NY firms, and other people have heard back from several of the firms I interviewed with.Anonymous User wrote:Too soon to freak out. Really.
