Wachtell was in the executive suite on the fourth floor. It was personal invite only through career services office.

Yeah they do. You have to be invited though. I guess they pay more money or something to pick and choose candidates to interview. I actually just got dinged from them.Anonymous User wrote:I thought Wachtell doesn't even recruit at Duke.Anonymous User wrote:Wachtell, Cravath, Sullivan & Cromwell and Williams & Connolly callback.

So Lowenstein also sent out CBs via snail mail? Not just the "we're currently reviewing your file" letters?

If I am unemployed next summer, I am applying to work at CPDC, so be assured that at least someone from CPDC will actually be helpful in the future.

Has this been an all-or-nothing OCI? Has anyone out there hit on about 2-4, rather than getting either 10 or none?
Edit - Sorry I can't answer about Lowenstein.

All quiet here except for 1 email ding. 20 screeners and not one word up or down from the other 19.

Re: Duke OCI 2011
I got an actual Lowenstein ding in the mail today (although I'd just read this thread and thought I did really well in the interview, so I was excited before I read it.)
White & Case callback this morning.
EDIT: Very little other news. Had one non-NYC firm CB call two days after interview and had two other dings, both very early and via email.

No joke. 16 screeners. Median grades, but great work experience. Haven't heard a peep. I'll sleep much better once (ifAnonymous User wrote:Someone show me some lovin' already, goddamnit

Re: Duke OCI 2011
16 interviews, 1CB (thursday morning), 2 email dings (thursday and friday).
My sense is that many firms have a few primary targets, which they reached out to last week - now they get into the pile of "maybe's". Others seem to have called, dinged, and gotten the hell outa Dodge (i.e. Wilmer).
FYI - "my sense" = utterly baseless postulating.
