not sure how many this firm is sending out...don't want to be outed. very selective midtown.

How are you approaching the interviews? I've had 9 so far and still radio silence, although in fairness 5 of them were yesterday. I went into this thinking that my resume would speak for itself, and I always walk out of the screener feeling like I made a connection with the interviewer and that it went very well, but already I am not getting the callbacks that I would have expected when others are.

What is your approach in the screener?

i wouldn't go in thinking you can let your resume speak for itself. each firm is looking for different types of people...all your resume does is get you into a general pool of candidates for screeners. verdict is still out on a bunch of other interviews for me too, and i'm confident some of those will turn into cb's.

to answer your question - the one's i got cb's for i definitely nailed the interviews...in those 3, i'd say it was a good mix of talking about my experience enthusiastically, showing a genuine interest in the firm through my answers and questions i asked, as well as talking about some mutual interest

I'm surprised there have been so many CBs this quickly. Didn't CPC say 3 days to a week usually?

been a mix for me...got an invite at the end of an interview, got a call the night after an interview, and got an email the day after an inteview

LOL- so instead of 3-7 days, your experience has been 0-24 hours!! If only we could all have the same experience!

Are these big firms (like vault list) or are they smaller? I'm surprised that the big ones can consolidate the reviews of all the interviewers and make a decision that fast.

Haha, love this response. And from the anecdote mill, it actually seems like the bigger firms are the only ones that have made callbacks yet and the smaller are taking more time to get responses out. Others seeing the same thing?
