Received a phone call this afternoon to set up a telephone interview. Had been put on "selected for further consideration" on Thursday or Friday.

I got selected for an interview, very excited, can anyone tell me what the background check process is like. Let's put it this way, I have done things in the past that would disqualify me from FBI or CIA, but I have not done anything recently and have absolutely no record. Anyone got insight?

I think for DOJ they'll disqualify you for ever having used hard drugs, or pot within the last 12 months. Don't quote me on that though, but that's what I remember from the last time I looked it up.Anonymous User wrote:Background check from above, tried hard drugs a few times, that's about it.

Received a phone call from Federal Bureau of Prisons to set up phone interview. SN: My status did not change online. It still says "referred to components"

Re: DOJ SLIP 2010
if mine hasn't changed from app received are we thinking it's
a) all over
b) still somewhat of a chance but not looking good
c) something better than (b)
edit- just saw this posted today on the site, so theoretically they're not all done
"The SLIP pool is not yet final. Once it is, and we hope that will be this week, we will issue email notifications to candidates who were selected for consideration that includes the name of the selecting components. Please bear with us as we complete the reviews."

Re: DOJ SLIP 2010
Anyone hear anything from specific branches within Civil Division yet?
I got the "selected for further consideration" change to my status but am wondering if anyone's been contacted yet for an interview with Civil - which I had ranked #1 - and if so, with which sub-branch.
