Question - did you all additionally upload your materials to Nixon Peabody? Not sure if I should bother, since they are coming to my school's OCI.

I'm at BU, and this is how I feel about the BLG job fair. What's the point of trying for the same firms twice?Anonymous User wrote:Not sure if I should bother, since they are coming to my school's OCI.

Re: Boston Lawyers Group Job Fair
Well, I go to school outside New England, so most of the BLG firms aren't coming. I might not have done it if there was huge overlap. Although depending on your school's bidding system, it may help you get in front of more of them than you would otherwise?Anonymous User wrote:I'm at BU, and this is how I feel about the BLG job fair. Re: Boston Lawyers Group Job Fair
Im at Harvard. Our OCI (d/b/a EIP) orientation is August 10th. Nearly all the BLG firms come to HLS but the program will (hopefully) allow me to get in front of some firms that I am really interested in early and open up some EIP bids for other firms or more aggressive bidding.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Definitely.. but I think they have to make it so early because some of the Boston schools have their OCI really early. Anyone have any inside information on whether the published timeline date of July 24th for preselects release is a hard date?

I guess the NP e-mail indicates that employers have at least started giving our materials a look.

So, that's why I got the email. For a moment, I was like why NP keeps sending email to ask me fill out their online application.Anonymous User wrote:I guess the NP e-mail indicates that employers have at least started giving our materials a look.

Forgive me for being an idiot, but on the Nixon Peabody app, where it asks about criminal offenses and there is a spot to click for "MA Applicants" -- that means applicants FROM Massachusetts, right?

Email from Wilmer about voluntary self-identification form. Does anyone know if not filling these out can hurt your chances?

Preliminary interview schedules will be posted on Symplicity on or around July 24, 2012. You will have an opportunity at that time, to review your schedule and accept or decline the interviews.
Students who are not accepted for any interviews will be notified on or around July 24, 2012.

From what I have heard about some other fairs we should consider ourselves lucky if we get our schedules tomorrow.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone think we will get lucky and get our schedules today?

My schedule is up! 6 interviews total, including Ropes and Goodwin. Pretty happy overall.
