Is anyone else getting a really weird assortment of dings and CBs? I, frankly, have no idea how these firms are evaluating me.

CBs and dings from grade selective firms; CBs and dings from non-grade selective; CBs and dings from interviews I thought went really well (and vice versa). I thought I would be able to decipher a clear pattern—but I have not.

Yeah, my outcomes have seemed completely random.

I still haven't heard anything from:
Kirkland, DC
Wiley Rein, DC
Gibson Dunn, DC
Winston & Strawn, DC
Goodwin Procter, NY
S&C, NY
Baker Botts, DC

Any use in following up with the recruiters at some of these firms, particularly ones where the interview was over a week ago? I figure they're all going to be dings, but I saw an OCS post from Monday suggesting following up -- was wondering if anyone tried that.

Other than the one poster from a couple pages back, has anyone heard anything from Sidley DC? Specifically JT & CVL. They interviewed on Friday so still within the 4-5 day window, but haven't heard of any callbacks except for the one poster here.

After CBs, do they usually give out offers and rejections at the same time, or is it just silent ding?

Any Sidley DC news from KA and BM?

Do many people who get invited to pre-CB dinners and go to them end up not getting the CB? had to miss Baker Botts' dinner bc I had already scheduled with another firm, and now it appears I'm not getting the CB. Wonder if I'm getting dinged in part bc I didn't go.. that would be frustrating since I would have loved to go if I didn't have the unavoidable conflict

FWIW, I went to the Baker Botts dinner and haven't heard anything either. I haven't heard reports of CBs from them.

Echoing question above: how long after your Gibson Dunn NY CB did you get your offer?
