For those who didn't receive an offer right away, (not just NY but all applicants), I heard that they have now ranked everyone that remains in order to start making offers. No, I didnt go to law school in NY. But yes, I had already submitted the application packet and mailed it to them. And now about three weeks later, I have received an additional package, stating I need to accept the offer by April 17th.

http://www.brooklynda.org/legal-recruiting/As of March 2015 we closed our Fall 2015 class. We are actively preparing for our 2015 on-campus interviewing process for the Fall 2016 class. We are no longer accepting applications for Fall or Spring 2015
Though that's strange you haven't received an offer / rejection. I went through their hiring process last fall, and I think sometimes they lost track of their applicants. So I'd call up if I were you just to see where you are and that you'd heard they were done recruiting their Fall 2015 class.

i saw that as well - but given my situation optimistically interpreted it to mean that they are no longer accepting fall 2015 applications. have touched base w them many times and don't believe my file has been lost in the mix, but have not yet received any indication of rejection..Anonymous User wrote:Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but:Anonymous User wrote:anyone else still have radio silence from brooklyn. had a 3rd round a while back and still no word..i know a lot of ppl have been getting offers / rejections recently but im kinda just hangin

Re: District Attorney's Offices 2015
I'm not sure that is accurate. They stopped taking applications in November as indicated by their website. Closing the class means that they've given out all offers and people have accepted them. Only way to know for sure is to call though I suppose.Anonymous User wrote:i saw that as well - but given my situation optimistically interpreted it to mean that they are no longer accepting fall 2015 applications. have touched base w them many times and don't believe my file has been lost in the mix, but have not yet received any indication of rejection..Anonymous User wrote:Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but:Anonymous User wrote:anyone else still have radio silence from brooklyn. had a 3rd round a while back and still no word..i know a lot of ppl have been getting offers / rejections recently but im kinda just hangin

Re: District Attorney's Offices 2015
Has anyone had experience asking an office for an extension to consider the offer? I received an offer Thursday night for Nassau, I'm really excited about it, but they gave me until Monday (so basically one business day) to call them back with my answer. I called DANY, and they scheduled me for a third round interview for next Friday (four days after I'm supposed to tell Nassau my response) and they told me to ask Nassau for a week extension. Has anyone done this? I'm scared to make Nassau angry but I obviously want to interview again with DANY. Also, what should I say? That I just need more time to speak with family/get residency stuff in motion (I currently live in NYC and there is a Nassau county residency requirement) or say I have an interview with DANY?
PLEASE tell me anything you know !! I need help!!
^^ What ended up happening here? I ask mainly if you took the position with Nassau. Anyone receive any Nassau offers?

Re: District Attorney's Offices 2015
Is anyone here involved in the Massachusetts Suffolk DA interview processes? I've been through rounds one and two. My understanding is that the information on the Suffolk DA website concerning the timeline is accurate as far as 3rd round interviews/offers being made in May and June.
Has anyone heard otherwise? Has anyone heard back from the office post 2nd round interview? We're you quoted a starting salary at anytime during your interviews? I was quoted $37,500 which is listed elsewhere on the intern, so I was not surprised.
I'm also very interested to know what the size of the applicant pool is this cycle.

Re: District Attorney's Offices 2015
Currently am interning through a prosecutors clinic with Suffolk DA. In the past, their offers have gone out in July and even some as late as August. But the timeline is ahead of last year's, so maybe they will be making offers earlier. As far as salary, $37,500 is the salary and their is no negotiating or bump ups for experience, etc. That is a statewide thing not specific to Suffolk so that's what you're looking at for any DA's office in Mass. Everyone I know who had a 2nd interview hasn't heard anything so I wouldn't expect news for a while.Anonymous User wrote:Is anyone here involved in the Massachusetts Suffolk DA interview processes? Re: District Attorney's Offices 2015
INFO I HAVE RECEIVED FROM FRIENDS...
Bronx - Was offered a position in December.
Brooklyn - Was offered a position around December. (Maybe a little sooner or later)
Suffolk (New York)- Was offered a position a few weeks ago.
Nassau - Don't know anyone that has received an offer. Heard that after the third with Singas some people received a letter letting them know that they were in the final group for consideration. The final group might consist of as many as 70-80 people from what I heard. I am guessing they are probably hiring 15 - 20.
Westchester - Don't know anyone that was even granted a second interview with them.
Manhattan - Was offered a position about two months ago or so.
Queens - They had received an offer about a month ago.
Miami - Received an offer about a month ago.

Re: District Attorney's Offices 2015
Thank you for your response! I was told that the timing of their offers would be based on the budget they are working with, but that I could expect to hear back in May or June. So I guess it is what it is with that, right? Offers will come when(if) they come.Anonymous User wrote:Currently am interning through a prosecutors clinic with Suffolk DA. I do have another question for you though: do you have any idea how many people in your clinic are interviewing with the Suffolk DA (MA)? I have to believe that those already interning at the office have an edge over those of us who are not. I'm just trying to get an idea on how steep the competition is. Thanks again for your input!
