I have a NYC offer but (without going into detail) I believe I will have a Philly offer this week for $20K less. Focusing 90% on $$$ (COL, taxes, etc.), which would you choose? The other 10% is that Philly could turn into a long-term proposition whereas NYC jobs are rumored to short circuit within a few years.

FWIW: My grades are OK, nothing to write home about.
By "OK" do you suggest your at median or are you one of those if I'm not top 10% I'm a failure types?

I felt like I was starring in the LS version of “Trouble with the Curve.” Median (at best).

Went on one last week. Haven't heard yet either way.
What day? If you could post if/when you hear, that would be great. Just don't wanna be living with false hope. I will do the same.

Thanks. BTW: This was no piece of cake, given the daily pile of rejection letters and an I-Phone whose mission in life was being a ding magnet.

FWIW: In ref to Pepper. . . their hiring board met today so new offers should be in the wind shortly.

Weird. I had a cb with Cole a month ago (I sent them my resume). I do not go to Penn. Still haven't heard anything.
But, I did get an offer post cb from a V100 firm in Manhattan that pays $160K to first years. Isn't odd how some of these firms work? Not good enough for Cole, but good enough for the V100 firm.
Needless to say, I am not going to wait around for Cole to either accept or reject me. I will definitely take my NYC offer.
The point of this is, don't feel badly if you don't hear from some of these regional firms. You could always end up with a better offer in NYC.

Seems like things have calmed down in the last two weeks. Is that because there were a surge of offers recently? Everybody happy?

Out of curiosity, did anyone contact Harrington (I believe they are an all-female Philly litigation firm)?

I've had a few happenings that I've forgotten to update--Crowell & Moring CB/offer (DC), Foley and Lardner CB/no decision (NYC)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
