Have you had any memorable post-offers interactions with partners at your firms? I know some firms schedule info sessions after giving out offers, but i am curious about any interactions that may signal a genuine interest of the firm/partner in the candidate. I dont want to read too much into recruiting strategies, but this could help when making decisions about where to go. My experience has been that most firms are so busy with the process, they just hand out offers and move on.

I’ve definitely had a few firms / few partners that are pitching me much harder than others. Like sending an initial ‘congrats on your offer’ email but then following up multiple times to ‘see how my thinking is evolving’. Honestly I’m not sure if it’s bc we formed great connections, or if the firm is
twisting their arm into doing a hard sell this year. It’s a nice touch but it honestly does make me a little uncomfortable because I know I’ll have to turn a bunch of these people down in the end, and don’t want them to feel like I wasted their time or strung them along.

Honestly, it makes me uncomfortable in a red-flag kind of way.

I have one V5 in mind, the other is a “nice” V15 that (I think) punches above its vault ranking

That was helpful :) Do you think there any specials skills they are valuing (e.g. honors, science background, consulting BG etc) or did it seem like an across the board recruiting strategy?

STB NY. Interviewed on Tuesday, got an offer on Thursday. I told them that I had another offer pending and must respond by the coming week. That might have changed the speed, not sure.

Echoing. Had cb on Wednesday and got an offer late Friday afternoon. I didn’t give them any reason to rush a decision though.

Yes, I’ve heard at least three examples of this this cycle. It definitely happens.

I've gotten a couple on the weekend. But both times it was just a partner calling to tell me I had gotten an offer- not the official email.

Any recent movement from Gibson DC? I interviewed Wednesday pm and it is unclear whether offers/rejections have gone out from that time period (or after).
