CB from Boston firm..heard back a few days after my screening interview. Shocking, considering i'm T30 and top 25%. Are offers arising out of 1L SA CB's kind of a shot in the dark?

Depends on the area/firm. If you're from far away, flying you in is a cost they would only pay if they were actually pretty serious about you. At least that's how I see it.Anonymous User wrote:CB from Boston firm..heard back a few days after my screening interview. Shocking, considering i'm T30 and top 25%. Diversity positions have it harder. They do a lot of CB interviews for what is usually only 1 spot.

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
based on one experience I have w/ a V10 firm that flew me (and others) in, the recruiter told me they had interviewed 3 others and might interview one more for the 1 spot they had, so about a 20-25% shotAnonymous User wrote:Depends on the area/firm. Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
Congrats! Choate is great in Boston. Good culture, and they're on the rise lately after acquiring a lot of partners from WilmerHale and other big Boston firms. They weathered the storm from the recession because their work model was balanced. Seems like a place where being a lawyer doesn't consume your life as an associate.Anonymous User wrote:Accepted offer at Choate. top 10% t30, good work experience, former D1 athlete, diverse but not urmAnonymous User wrote:Please share and stats too. I applied but got radio silence, so I guess this means the end of my journey.

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
Got an offer and am still waiting from another firm but I'm going to accept the offer I have today. Is it appropriate to email the hiring partner from the other firm to let them know I've accepted another opportunity Thank them etc, or do I have to call?

For people who were asking about SW in Miami, the person I interviewed with said they were looking for around 3 1L SA's.
Has anyone heard back from Katten's LCLD program?

I found that having to talk to someone after rejecting their offer is weird, so I'm a fan of emailing.Anonymous User wrote:Got an offer and am still waiting from another firm but I'm going to accept the offer I have today. Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
12 would be a good year for 1L SAs in KC, I doubt it hits that this summer. And SHB's offer rate is definitely low, although rumor is that HB's offer rate makes it look generous by comparison.Anonymous User wrote:Pretty consistent for the region. I had heard from recruiting staff at a major KC firm that the projected number of 1L SAs for the entire city (among the major players) was something like 12.Anonymous User wrote: Do you have any information on Callback -> Offer rate for 1L SA positions at Shook?
